See your next event first.
Nextis Calendar is a Chrome extension (listed as “Nextis”) that shows your next Google Calendar or Apple (iCloud) Calendar event where the Google logo normally sits — on every new tab and on the Google homepage.
Add to Chrome
What it does
- Shows one thing: your next event, with the time remaining (“Today · in 42 min”, “● Now · 25 min left”).
- Works with Google Calendar, Apple (iCloud) Calendar, or both. With both connected, events are merged and the closest one is shown.
- “Join meeting” button for Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and FaceTime links.
- New tab page with Google search and editable shortcuts.
- Korean and English, light and dark mode.
How Nextis Calendar uses your Google data
When you click Connect for Google Calendar, Nextis Calendar asks for one permission: read-only access to your Google Calendar (calendar.readonly). It uses it only to read the title, time, location, meeting link, and calendar color of your upcoming events so it can show the next one on your new tab.
- It never creates, edits, or deletes events.
- Event data stays in your browser. It is not sent to the developer or anyone else.
- You can disconnect at any time from the extension popup.

Connecting Apple Calendar
Create an app-specific password at account.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords, then enter it with your Apple ID email in the Nextis popup. It is used only to read events from iCloud.
